Mary LoVerde Explains a Great Way To Savor Your Travel Memories

Mary LoVerde gave me this excellent idea for our Memory Boxes. I was inspired and motivated by her outstanding book entitled "Stop Screaming at the Microwave!".

This book goes way beyond other relationship and time management books. It has many good ideas about how to slow down our lives.

We're moving so fast that we scream at the microwave for taking too long to cook our dinners. She teaches how to reconnect our disconnected lives back to:

    Ourselves
    Our families
    Others
    The big picture

In it she describes making a memory jar (we used a box) to hold notes of recorded memories.

It was a wonderful gift to our parents. They have decorative memory boxes on their coffee tables.

There are photos under glass on the box top, and in it are hundreds of memories that the children have recorded.

They can look through a few each time they sit down and savor the great family memories.

Good books are important travel accessories.
